Are these packages any good? My husband & I went on vacation to Destin, FL & was bomb rushed by a salesperson we ran into on the street. She invited us to a presentation (90 minutes) & said she would give free passes to a local cruise in the bay & give us a free 3 day, 2 night stay to a resort.

So we went & met a another sales lady who showed the property & tried to sale us 2 timeshare packages (the first one was 25,000 and the second one was 11,000 with 500.00 dollar deposits). We declined, so she wisked us away to guess services, were a guy asked, if we encountered sales presure (then started to use the same tactics on us).

Then all of a sudden he pulls out a paper with a 2300.00 dollar package on it that required a 200.00 deposit & a 105.00 mo payment. He called this a discovery or a vaction savings acct. We got 300,000 points to try and if we like it then we can transfer the money already paid (the 2300.00) into a real timeshare. Is this a rip off? We have10 days to cancel.

You can buy timeshares for under $5000.00 from the current owner. Look around for prices in your area. Currently there are 100 - 200 a week foreclosed on each week in Orlando. Not sure about wyndam but that sounds like a lot of money to me.

well,if they got your credit card #'s beware...
but we went to disneyworld,we stayed a beautiful time share,,got a free breakfast buffet(full breakfast)and listened to a salesman,looked a condo model,and then declined...and we got to stay at the condo 4 nites for only $30.00/nite! It sure saved us alot of money..the condo was a 2 bedroom suken tub glass doors that opened onto a patio..and a huge living/dining/kitchen-with washer and dryer-that we used,and a wet bar...it was worth going to the salesman routine.
