| Unfortunately, the Radical Muslim Fundamentalists (the root core of the problem) won't allow it to end in any way but with violence.Their goal to to kill anyone who doesn't believe like they do.

| Today's world is much more complex than the strategic calculation of US and its allies. Post 9/11, Muslims are perennially portrayed and suspected as terrorists, which is not true. Small minority among the Muslims have hijacked the agenda from the majority moderate Muslims. Suspicion breeds suspicion and the story goes on like this. There is absolutely no effort from any side to take confidence building measures. US and its allies blinks as how to retrieve themselves the Iraqi muddle. Given a chance, they would like to run away from that place. Anyhow, as Blair has already completed his term and Bush is going out next year, they will comfortably settle down in their retirement life blissfully forgetting all the mess they have created. Of course, as per the latest trend, we can expect them to hit the talk circuit immediately after wards to earn all the millions out there for grabs. To quote Mahatma Gandhi, 'an-eye-for-an-eye' will eventually make the whole world blind. So, the effort should start from both the sides - US and its allies should start the healing process by withdrawing from middle east and moderate Muslims should bring terrorists among them to the peace path. Violence is no solution to any problem, as it is unlikely to bring any clear winner.

| Hasn't so far but I don't think any of the men with guns would know what to do in a peaceful society, perhaps that's why they keep on killing - 'Now is the winter of our discontent ...' etc.
