 Where is a good place to go for a hen party? I'm looking for ideas of where to go for my hen party - something to suit my pals and my mum and aunties (!). Don't want my hen do to be too pink and sparkly, but do want it to be v v fun.Would be willing to go abroad if a low cost airline fly there from both Belfast and Glasgow.Any suggestions?

| For the love of Ged avoid white limos, strippers / men dressed as firemen, 'L' plates and veils. Dunno about anyone else, but when I see that sort of thing when I'm out in town I just think 'wow. tacky.'As for things to actually do - - - I'll leave that for the female posters, cos I haven't got a clue..

| The places that immediately spring to mind are Newcastle, Dublin, Blackpool, Prague and Amsterdam.Dublin, Amsterdam and Blackpool pretty much sell themselves. Prague is quite cheap and now quite popular for stag and hen parties but there's been the odd tale of problems with personal security. Newcastle has the Quayside and Bigg Market areas, loads of nightclubs and is renowned for being a party town.

| Give York a try, lots of pubs, nightclubs, places to eat from Italian through to Indian (place called Saffron is ace); also lots to see before the night do to keep relatives busy, the Minster,York Dungeon (bit gory), Roman walls, and loads of shops. Have a super time x
