Question on shipping a car to Australia?

I'm emigrating to Perth in January, and am undecided over whether or not to take my car with me. Used cars in Oz are much more expensive than here, but I know I'll have to pay import duty if I do take mine with me. Has anyone here exported their car to Oz? How much did it cost? How long did it take?

importing cars to oz can be expensive so you may want to consider consulting an import export agent one that i know of is called LEP i used to pickup there containers from the wharves for unpack of cars from the usa
