How much money per month do you need to survive in London?

Well, Im asking because Im going to London to study a master degree and I need to have an idea to be prepared.

if you are working and living in a flat you can do it on 600 pounds a month. if you are holidaying and staying in a hostel then you can get weekly rates of 50pounds a week so 200 a month. most museums are free entry. food is expensive if you wnat to eat out but if hostel has a kitchen then you can cook food i would say about 200 pounds a month would do the rest so total 400 pounds a month. i used to earn 800 a month and lived in staff accommodation and so i saved over half of that every month. Most hotel and bar jobs in the london area have small staff quarters out the back.

as well as it mainly depend upon my life style in which i can spend the money

depends on your rent, for a studio in west london it ranges from Â£600 - Â£1000 easily. Then you have to think about bills, food and travel.A monthly bus pass is Â£55 so it depends where you will be living and how far you have to travel.London is more expensive than other cities, but you can get around spending loads!

london is so so expensive,hope you have accomodation sorted out cause most of the money goes on that
