 How do paychecks work in Canada? I live in Canada and I just got a job at a grocery store. I live in Newfoundland. I've heard a lot from people that my first paycheck is cut in half and I'm held off by one of the weeks, or something... I'm not fully understanding... I wasn't told anything about it. I just want to confirm if this is true, and why or how it works. Thanks, Mark
