| I flew from California to London recently on British Airways. The meals were adequate and neatly served, but there wasn't much choice. You can bring a picnic on board as long as it complies with BAA's silly rules regarding liquids and gels: look the rules up on BA.COM. You can book special meals for the children: I think you can do that on line. In flight, you can walk to the galley and ask for tea or fruit juice.

| Well two months ago i went to London Heathrow and they did not allow anything liquid or sharp objects. And baby milk have to be tested by the mother by mouth. If i didnt recall wrongly they do have sweets on board the aircraft but its not sugar free and not the soft kind like Haribo (yum) Please request for a child meal while getting the tickets or alternatively you can request for a child meal while checking in but for that request to be in force you gotta check in 2 hours prior to flight departure as its a special meal request they will need to prepare it alone not like a mass prepared meals for all the adults inflight. So they gotta need ample time to be informed & thats why its best to request during the time you bought the tickets. But do confirm it again at check in as alot of travel tend to forget to put that in even though they assure you with a smile they have done it but you are the one suffering 7 hours flight time to the States with your restless child not them! And on these special child meals there will be all kinds of stuff that children will love to eat and some "junk" food to keep them happy throughout the flight but however it is only for one child so please don't ask for "extras" Thats not gonna happen. =) Have a safe flight

| I'm flying out to California this week (from london) on british airways. Obvioulsy security is real tight at the moment. I'm gonna be with my family, which includes a couple of younger kids, and of course me. I was wondering whether you can take any food (like sweets, haribos etc) onto the flight with you? Or if you can get anything on board the flight apart from the meals? thanks.
