| You cannot make any generalisations about students. They belong to the social category, petty-bourgeois declassé, and as such are like the urban mob of the 17th century, and can be swayed one way or another. Students never pursue one political line. Some follow the political tenets of their parents' class, others rebel and do the opposite. In UK., the government has deliberately cut down on the number of working class youngsters getting higher education by abolishing grants and, by making them dependent on loans makes it all the more likely they will be obedient little workers once they graduate
