Coming to Vancouver?

I'll be in Vancouver, BC in November for a ten days vacation.I plan to go to Vancouver Island and then to Vancouver city and Whistler. Will you give me some suggestions for my trip?How are the prices? How much it costs to eat -- no big places ?THANKS!!
