This Question is for people who have been gifted with psychic abilities or other abilities, esp, precognitive dreams, empathy, telepathy,etc. Where do you believe your gift/gifts came from? I am very interested in this subject & would like to hear your opinion.

Here are some of the ideas/beliefs/opinions that I have heard.
1.That the gifts come from the persons Deity (God,Allah, etc)
2.That people who have these gifts are a result of mankind's on going Evolution
3.That fallen angels (or Djinn/Jinn) had intercourse with humans thus resulting in people with unusual abilities.

If you agree/believe/understand any of the listed ideas/beliefs/opinions could you please explain them? I tried Google & Google did not help me with this subject.

These gifts as you call them have been with us since the
dawn of time. Evolution has nothing to do with it.. Actually,
in this area we have probably devolved.

the fact that people possess these abilities,might be related
to the "universal mind" and to some extent the more you identify with this consciousness the more you are to exhibit
or manifest this conditions,is not religion,but ,i might say spirituality,which is not the same as religion

When I was very young (age 3-7) I had an uncanny ability to navigate. Mom and Dad decided to take me to the continental congress in Philly PA. Dad, of course, driving but was unable to find it. Mom, having experienced my ability asked me how to get there. So, I started giving directions "Turn right here, turn left there" etc. Within minutes we were heading right towards the parking lot. This ability has never truly gone away. Later on in life my "skills" developed more into precog dreaming. Dreams of note; prediction of an airliner crashing into the potomac river in winter, shooting down of military jets over Lybia, loss of camera on the end of the robotic arm of the space shuttle mission STS-3. And even later, the ability (at times) to sense the presence of deceased beings. This ability has been most distrubing to me. My first experience in this ability was after we moved into a house in 1982. I met the former resident in an unreal mannor. She communicated to me via gestures that I was to sit still while she showed me her end. Apparently, my bedroom closet was the place were she took her own life by hanging. Needless to say, I didn't quite like the experience. It wasn't a horrorfying experience, disturbing, but not her intention to scare me. I think it was more to let me know that she was there. Later on she communicated to me her first name, Irma, and that the house had been her dream house she and her husband had built. Over the years I would catch a glimpse of her, watching me and my mother, and later my soon to be wife. She was a very strong presence, so much so that she even made herself aware to my wife. Usually by standing next to her while she cooked or washed dishes. Now, that was just the first person from the here-after that became aware of. It happens more and more frequently the older I get. Sometimes I can't even walk near (or drive by) a place without getting that cold chill of something unworldly close by. Most times the presence I feel is benign, but on rare occations the presence is malignant. These are the times that I really wish I didn't have this skill. Oddly enough, I find graveyards as the most "quietest" places I've ever been. But to somewhat answer your question, I do not understand why I have this ability and most others don't, I just know it's a fact of life for me. Perhaps its an awareness of space-time. I mean, being able to perceive events that have happened or will happen. Just like an awareness of wind hitting your face, or tasting something sour, or hearing something. For me, its just a part of me. I hope this helps. Good luck.
