How can people say that something such as God, ghosts, and other supernatural

things are imaginary when...? You can't tell a person they didn't see what they saw without brainwashing them into thinking they didn't see it. or hear it or feel it or smell it etc. You can't prove that a person didn't see (or hear, feel smell etc.) what they did. so why say its imaginary just because you can't see hear feel or smell it. Instead of saying something like God, ghosts, and other supernatural things aren't real either prove that they aren't real or quit telling people they aren't unless you can prove itI'm not saying that these things ARE real nor am i saying to humor them my point of this question is that when someone asks a question about God or ghosts i've seen more athiests answer that they don't exist. instead of saying these things why not remain silent. When someone asks if God or a ghost is real and an athiest claims that God or a ghost isn't real why isn't the burden of proof on them?

Disproving a revealed deity (theism) is trivial, if you have a basic knowledge of neuroscience.However, when I say, "There are no ghosts," I am not saying, "You're lying about having seen a ghost." I'm saying, "Oh, no, there are no ghosts, but your observation and experience is valid. It's simply that there is another, more reasonable explanation. Care to find it with me?"

Everybody's calling for the "burden of proof" to apply. So when a poster tells me God does not exist, why does he not have to prove that? And since evolution has not been proved, why don't they have to put up or shut up as regards evidence?Some people I respect have said they saw a ghost. I personally doubt ghosts exist, but the fact that I have never seen one does not disprove them.

Perhaps, but your subjective truth is not contingent on my reality. You can believe/feel whatever you want, but don't expect me to humor you. I am fully aware that for all sensations/feelings/delusions there are synapses firing and chemicals being releases in the Brian to give that perception. And there is no laboratory proof for any of those phenomenon you mention. No credible proof, anyway. Have a nice day!Edit: As for why people post in response to questions about these phenomenon with a simple, "The don't exist," I can only imagine because they are concerned that superstition is becoming rampant and interfering with scientific inquiry. They seem to think that the person asking cares for their opinion more than their own experiences.

Only if you likewise stop insisting its real without proof either.Matters of faith (either way) cannot be proven. The only viable solution is respect on all sides and allowing people to believe what they want. State what you believe, but trying to force it on others is undoubtably wrong.If you state it properly and make yourself opened, the people who are curious or interested will stop and ask a genuine question-that is where education and conversion begins, not at soap boxes and door knocking.

God, there were people think that they could feel the presence of the god. But do they really feel it, we don't know. But they continue let this belief to be spread among the people. As god was spread around the world, many people started to claim that they can feel the presence of god. Was ghost really existed? The scienticfic have prove that ghost does not existed at all. They were imaginary from people who is under a lot of stress. Supernatural things does happen once in the while. There were many things we cannot predicts and there were people who claim that they have supernatural power.
