Relax. I don't think we are being taken over with the supernatural. If you don't care for these movies, then don't goBut - to answer your question - I think people are looking for answers to questions outside of themselves.

Underlying message that this is similar to what could be. What hell might be like.Also, SATAN LIVES IN HOLLYWOOD!!!!!!!! At least he is in the mind of many there. Satan is baiting people with these movies, theater production and on stage so that he can hook people who get obsessions with it and also leave people vulnerable that are not saved and get the crap scared out of them there with accounts of similar things, imaginary or not, happening to them. The world thrives on what is evil, it has become socially acceptable and a way of life, sad really!

I have noticed this as well, and, coming from the psychologist in me, I think it has to do with people needing a savior and needing depth in their lives. If you really read into every superhero or supernatural movie, there are bound to be allegories of G-d, Yeshua, afterlife, and the like. I think films such as these are making more frequent debuts for a few certain reasons. One of the reasons could be that the subject pertains to the times: ever since 9/11, more people have turned to some sort of spiritual source, and so the demand for more spirituality in the media has risen. Another reason is that there have been more directors, producers, and screenplay writers who have taken a spiritual bent to their work. Personally, I think it it the beginning of a great spiritual revival, because the media plays such an enormous part in all of our lives.

...how's this for supernatural?? BOO! (joke....I still crack me up!)I do think you are right in that we are seeing more from the supernatural world but I think this is to be expected as time draws to a close.
