You can modify your thoughts and or behaviour patterns using any number of techniques. Classical conditioning (like Pavlov's dog) is one method of reprogramming your behaviours. In addition, many people use hypnosis to access the subconcious mind and suggest behaviour changes. People use these techniques to quit smoking, lose weight, quit gambling, or develop a more positive attitude. People have varying degrees of success with these techniques, sometimes based on their committment to the goal, and other time due to the extent of the treatment. It is effective. When you speak of reprogramming the subconcious, I'm reminded of the book "The Power of Positive Thinking" by Norman Vincent Peale. He discussed what can be acheived by modifying your thought processes to focus purely on the positive. His techniques were used extensively for years and people reported (of course) positive results.I am a firm believer that if you dedicate yourself to a task and believe that you will be successful, you will not stop until you are successful. In this way, you can acheive success in any field. You can definitely modify your thinking patterns, but you have to be very careful. When you are working with the subconcious mind, even a seemingly harmless suggestion can have unexpected results. Read about hypnosis techniques before trying them. Learn to create suggestions that are targetted, concise, and express only your goal. That is essential to doing any work with the subconcious. Take care.
