What does being booted mean in Yahoo pool?

I was playing pool. I finished the game I was playing, but before clicking on start to start a new game, I had to leave for a minute. When I returned. I had been booted by the player

It means that the host of the table (in this case, your oppponent) decided he didn't wanna play with you anymore. The host of the table always has the option of "booting" you or kicking you off the table so that someone else can get in and play. When someone boots you, it has to be between games unless he/she forfeits the game you are currently playing.
