What is the best size longboard/mini mal for surfing?

I live in socal santa barbara california and I want a board I can manuever on but still walk on and be a longboard. I was thinking about an 8 foot board or something. Im pretty good at surfing and have been doing it a couple of years. Also wondering about the nose what shape should it be. Thank you so much.

Check out 9:Fish Surfboard's Koi (http://www.9fishsurf.com/koi.html). It's very maneuverable for a board that size and definitely big enough for you to walk on.

How tall are you??? If your about average sze the an 8ft should be good. Look for a very rounded nose with a concave on the underside of the nose. This will be the best for nose riding.
