| You will have a much better quality control from the Jackson boots.. Their hing boot is the only one right now that should be held up on delivery.. They are redoing the design slightly.. the new release has a bit of a fatigue problems where the two pieces meet.. (( Love that design though ))The Riedell's are okay.. and if you get a good fit I hear they are really comfortable.. but I'd stick with the Jackson.. Just make sure that the boot fits.. if your getting the heat moldable skates.. getting ones that are SNUG would be great! .... as the heat moldability of the boot kicks in.. it expands a bit.. mix that in with people trying to buy boots just a bit bigger then they need to make room for "growing into" and you find yourself with wiggly heels.. Jackson.. snug little longer in the toe if needed but not to much.. If your really really light.. Like 60-80 pounds.. you might want to ask for Scallops in the boots to help you bend.. but other then that.. you should be good to go.. Oh.. if you switch to Retail.. Make sure you get the correct stiffness in the boot.. There is compatible strengths.. but they are done a little different.. ** Keep in mind that Retail doesn't let a seller carry their product line unless they have a full set on hand ** not a huge request.. but that request is not made by other companies.. so some distributors are cornered into delivery the remaining inventory.. ** Keep in mind that people agree cause it can be a good boot **Good Luck!!! New Skates are Great!! Don't forget your bunga pads!

| Everybody has a different opinion on what brand of boots is best because of what brand fits their feet the best. I personally like Riedell a little better because even though they run length wise similar, they are slightly wider than Jackson which has been good for me because my feet are wider. I've owned several pairs of Jackson boots, and all of them have caused my feet to blister while breaking them in, but the Riedell boots fit so well that I never got a blister while breaking them in. I would certainly get fitted for whatever boot you decide on because you want to make sure that you get the right size. I would suggest the Riedell's just because I've had a better experience with them than the Jackson's even though the Jackson boots have been good boots, I prefer the Ridell's over the Jackson's.
