| Is the Super Bowl reallly a "Clash of Titans" as it's been promoted? Are the two opponents always the "two best" in the NFL with the result that the Super Bowl game is far superior in drama and action than regular-season games? What thrills and excitements appear in the SB that you don't see in "regular" games? The sportswriters really unloaded on Wrecks, excuse me Rex Grossman for his far-from- Super SP performance.

| Yes it is. It is the 2 best teams from each conference. They didn't lose in the playoffs, which is why they're there. It's thrilling because in the regular season, if you win, it's good, keep winning. But in the Super Bowl game, if you win, you're in heaven. If you lose, you're locker room is gonna be in a very bad mood after the game.

| Without question the Conference Championship games have far more drama and grit. The goal is to get to the Super Bowl. Though winning the Super Bowl is important to a team, they always can rest on "at least we got here and we can enjoy it". To lose at the conference championship would be always "one away" from the big game.

| My, you seem to be having quite a problem with Mr. Grossman. Did he do something in particular to annoy you? From your question I draw the conclusion that you'd like to eliminate the Superbowl and just stick with regular season play because the Superbowl fails to meet your standards. Using that logic, we should also eliminate the world series, the Stanley Cup, and all other postseason championships.Frankly, you probably won't find a great deal of support from most sports fans. Although the Superbowl may be widely hyped by the media, let's put the blame where it belongs --- on the media, not the event itself. As far as Mr. Grossman is concerned, he is an athlete that took his team to the Superbowl. Not a reason to insult him, in my opinion.

| The Super Bowl pits Two teams who were consistent throughout the season and played their best ball in the playoffs to propel them to the so called " Super " Bowl. Like most institutions of man it always leaves one wanting. 10 minutes after it's over the question to the winning team is "Do you think you can repeat?" It's really not so much about the game as it is the hype that surrounds it. Come on, 85% of those who attend could care a less who wins. They just have the $ to attend this "Super" event so they do. Real fans live Sunday to Sunday looking forward to games like Indy vs. NE, Dallas vs. The Skins, Da Bears vs. Packers. Is it football season yet?

| All Pro Sports have become to much of a hype and less about the game being played.Basketball has become a joke and the Super Bowl even though I love to watch THE GAME itself ,I skip the halftime concerts and junk they have. They build it up for two weeks and by then you don't know what team will show up.

| The superbowl is about the 2 best teams at that time. To get to the playoffs you need to have a good season, but in the playoffs it's about who's hot now. I wish we could see the best teams of the year, but that's impossible to judge. I agree though the bears should never have made teh Superbowl with Rex Grossman. Lucky bastards. If it wasn't for their defense they would have been sitting home watching the saints.

| The Super Bowl is the single greatest sporting event in the world. No, the two teams are not always the two best, but they are the two teams that successfully navigated at least two tough playoff games. Conference strength is cyclical, eventually the pendulum will swing the other way and the NFC will be the power conference again. And as far as your assessment of Rex Grossman, we all knew that it was a coin flip. There was "Good Rex" and "Bad Rex." Obviously, Bad Rex showed up. If Good Rex had showed up, we would likely be talking about the Chicago Bears, Super Bowl champions. If Rex can find a happy medium, expect Chicago to win their division again and have a shot at repeating as the NFC champions.

| HAHA Clash of the Titans. HAHA best two teams in the NFL. Heck if you want to match the best two teams in the NFL you would probably have to have two AFC teams playing in it right now. Right now the NFC is the weaker Conference so just because you have the best record(12 games against NFC opponents) really doesn't mean much. Take '06 Playoffs. Best game was Steelers at the Colts. Superbowl XL was NOTHING compared to that game.
