Dudes, what is easier for a begginning surfing a long or short board?

I would definitely say that a long board is a whole lot easier to start with. I would also recommend you find a soft top instead of a hard top, softs are easier to use. They are less maneuverable, but a lot sturdier. Good luck!

I did stood up my first time on a longboard but the next day I went out on my shortboard and felt more confident and caught a couple good rides for my 2nd day out. Shortboards are fine for begginers just not the first time.

long is definitely better for beginners but they are alot harder to move around in the water.
