 Do u get paid when you make a world record for somthing? or for if u win something about the olympics or cross contry and if so how much example how much money would u win for the championships for the olympics running 1000 meter? thx

| It depends. Some countries pay their athletes when they set world records and win championships. There is prize money in some meets along with attendance money, that is money for the big name people to compete so the crowd will come watch. As far as the 1000 meter there is not Olympic race of that distance, and it is not a standard distance at any meet.
