| They already have a stud defence. Brewer, Jackman, McKee,Backman, Salvador, and Johnson. Legace is solid, not world class great but can get the job done. Now with Tkachuck back and Karyia do they have enough offense?

| I wouldn't get too excited about Kariya. He had 76 pts last year, and I wouldn't expect anything more than that. For sure, 76 pts will help the Blues offense, and they might have enough to sneak into the playoffs as the 8th or 7th seed, but they'll have to fight pretty hard for that.

| Kariya basically replaces Bill Guerin in terms of offensive production. Guerin/Tkachuk/Weight were pretty much it for the Blues last year on offense and it wasn't good enough to get them to the playoffs so they traded Tkachuk and Guerin. Now they have Tkachuk back and Kariya replaces Guerin. Not much of an upgrade offensively especially when you consider that Weight/Tkachuk/Kariya are all one year older. The Blues D is very good and I really like Johnson but it'll probably be a couple of years before he reaches his potential. By that time Weight/Tkachuk/Kariya will all be too old. I also liked their late season pickup of Brad Boyes and think he'll form a decent second line with Stempiak.
