(To set the record straight, I am not religious)
Many Atheists are scientific thinkers. And although the existence of God(s) is unlikely, and though the Judeo-Christian God is illogical, I don't understand how you can say you are CERTAIN that no higher power exists.
Science doesn't close doors like that. It seems you are going into the realm of personal beliefs, of which no one can be certain.
As I said, it is very improbably a god, gods exist. But how can you be 100% sure? As I said in my last question, most intellectual Atheists I've knows just feel it's a waste of time to focus on something improbable and leave it at that.
I don't believe that's the same is agnosticism, which is admitting it's possilbe, and that you are keeping an open mind. Agnostics seem to take the time to consider that there may be a higher power. That's what I have been taught.
