Have anybody used the language tool called Pimsleur Approach? It says that i can learn any language within 10 days and i got very curious if that can actually true.

Could anybody tell me if it is worth to purchase?

I got it free off bearshare. I didnt think it was that great and definatly wouldnt have paid full price for it. He just gets you to repeat phrases over and over again..
Definatly give it a test before you buy it incase you do not like the learning method as it is very expensive..

I've used Pimsleur and others too. You cannot learn a language in 10 days, that's just hype. If it were true then why do language professors spend years learning. You have to start somewhere though. Try to find a course where the speaking is done by native speakers, otherwise the accents and pronunciation will not be 100%. I found the hardest part was listening to people to speak and trying to pick out the individual words. Try to get a course which has a book showing you the words which are being spoken. By constantly repeating the words and phrases you can get good pronuciation, but you need to be able to understand what you are saying also. Can you borrow the course from a library and save money ?

You won't be anywhere near fluent, but you can learn basic conversation in 10 days with Pimsleur. Like: "Hi. How are you. My name is __. "
I've used Pimsleur with several languages and I really like it in conjunction with other materials. Unless you're a genius, though, it's going to take years to learn a language.
