Her Sons play with my Sons once in a while. If I utilize caller id and skip her call, she'll call 8 or 9 times and then just come on over! Her 14 year old calls too, so between the 2 of them my ringer has to be turned OFF. I'm reaching my limit.If I answer and talk to her she'll talk endlessly about immature content and refuse my requests to end the call. We're the same age...she's just very shallow and immature.She actually BOUGHT me a cheap phone a couple days ago because she thinks I can't "hear" the phone when she calls. I think she's pis*ed because I'm not available to her at her every whim.She always brings me used clothing, shoes, etc., as a way to come over. I'm not a person who needs a lot of conversation, I despise the phone. I have a husband and three sons. I'm BUSY! She, too, has a hubby and 3 boys. Hubby travels a lot.I'm giving the phone back to her tomorrow...what should I say when I hand the phone back to her?P37Ry...you are a riot! I love that! Stupid, dam*ed phone is working too properly....LOL

When you give the phone back, be honest, and tell her that you have a husband and three boys, and that she should understand seeing as she knows that's a lot of work, but you just don't have time for this. Also, tell her that its not very polite to come over anytime it suits her. If you don't answer the phone, it is is because you are busy and did not want to be bothered. You tell her that you have answered the door, and invited her in but only not to be rude. In the future, when she calls 8 or 9 times in a row, after the first time or two, take the phone off the hook for ten minutes. If she comes to your door because the line is busy, don't answer it. There's no law that says you need to answer the door anytime someone shows up, especially if you don't want or need company. Make sure she knows that you appreciate the used clothing and shoes, etc., but that you have quite enough things in the house to clean up after and worry about, and don't need anymore headache. Don't accept them any longer, because if that is the vice she is using to get her foot in the door, you need to cut her off. As far as the content in the phone calls when you do answer the phone, let her know you find it objectionable, and that she'll have to talk about something more pleasant if she wants to talk more often. No matter what you do, some people will just not get the hint. In that case, I would suggest you completely cut her off. Never answer the door or phone for her, and keep your sons inside for a week or so (not letting them associate with the neighbor kids). If they ask you why not just say, "oh I thought we could watch this movie together," or "I thought maybe we could go to the park," or "how would you like to bake some cookies!" Blame it on your husband. LOL Tell her your not allowed to use the phone very much! Tell her you don't have call waiting and he complains if you tie up the line. Or int erupt ever thing she is talking about with other topics she wouldn't want to hear about or understand.
