| I think the can of ice will roll faster because it is much heavier and compact than water.

| Assuming basically the same weight for both cans, I would expect the ice to roll faster. As the can rolls down hill, it picks up speed by converting gravitational potential energy to kinetic energy. However, with water in the can, the water will be spinning at a different rate depending on how far you are from the center, and viscous forces (friction) between adjacent water layers will cause some generation of heat. This heat up of the water comes from conversion of some of the potential energy, and so this PE is not available to be converted to kinetic energy. So the resulting speed will be less than for the ice, which spins uniformly and therefore does not have this internal heat generation to rob the KE.In simpler terms, just think of the water as a built-in brake.

| I would say the ice because the coefficient of friction would be smaller between the ice and the incline than the can and the incline, hence making it go facter as there is less friction. Its a difficult one to assume same weight - there will of course be some friction and friction causes heating - and heating melts ice!
