When theres new species of animals found how come no one thinks they're aliens?

They do. I think you are an alien. Alien means someone or something different. What you might mean is: "why do people not think the new species could be extraterrestrials?" I would say that they do not think there is any evidence for it - Earth being untill proven otherwise.

Because new species can be traced back to the species they diverged from. In other words, we can figure out where they came from, so there is no reason to suspect they were dropped off a spaceship. Now when I come across a species that could obviously not be made on this earth, I might assume aliens. It just hasn't happened yet

Because the idea that they might be aliens (I assume you mean extraterrestrials) is preposterous. There are no signsof life in our solar system except here on the earth, and thedistances to other planets, despite Star Wars and other science fiction, are too vast to expect aliens from out of thesolar system to be here.About two million kinds of organisms are known on the earthat present. Estimates of how many kinds of animals alonethere might be range from 4 to 30 million. The 30 million figureis probably too large. There have never been enough biologists to complete the job of cataloging all the existing kinds of animals. In spiders alone, one year I checked onsaw the description of 650 new species. Much of the world has never been searched carefully enough to find all theorganisms there are. This is especially true of the tropics andthe southern hemisphere. The deep sea has been accessiblefor study for only a short time, and many new things have turned up there. On the list of things I might worry about,encountering a space alien is about at the bottom of the list,if it is on the list at all.
