| the perimeter is the distance around an object.if the object was square the perimeter would be 4 times on of the sides. If the object is rectangular or other shaped the perimeter would be the sum of the distances of the sides. 1 acre is 43,560 square feet. If you assume that the 128 acres is perfectly square then you can easily find the perimeter:128 acres x 43,560 square feet pper acre is 5,575,680square feet. the square root of this is 2361.3 feet Therefore one side is 2361.3 feet. The peremeter is 4 x 2361.3 = 9445.2 feet. However the problme does not specify the shape of the acrage. what if it was 1 foot wide. the shape would be a rectangle 1 foot wide by 5,575,680 feet. the perimeter would be 1 foot + 5,575,680 feet + 1 foot + 5,575,680 feet = 11,151,362 feet. check the shape of the land or assume it is square.

| I assume the 128 acres is an area. We need to know what shape the 128 acres is: a circle, a square, a rectangle, etc. The perimeter is different for each of these.

| The minumum perimeter is a circle, there are 640 acres in a square mile, soCircumference = 2 * pi * rRadius of this circle = pi *r^2 = 128/640 mi^2C = 2 * sqrt(128 * pi /640) mi = 1.5853 mi

| for a one yard wide strip the perimeter is 1,239,042 yards for a circle the perimeter would be 8765 yards. any length between these two could be made to enclose 128 acres. The only thing you can say for certain is that the perimeter must be at least 8,765 yards as the Circle is the shortest length that encloses a specified size.

| That additional detail is crucial.128 acres=128/640=0.2 mi²0.2*5280²=557,568ft²s=ā557,568=746.7'p=4s= 2986.8'
