I am trying to determine some bones that rats and humans do not have in common.

The most obvious difference I can find is that rats have caudal vertebrae in the form of a tail. The tail provides thermoregulation and balance for the rat.

What are some other skeletal differences that give each species some characteristic traits?

I imagine their vertebrae and central axis would differ a bit because of they way they walk on all fours.
