I think yes, but with our current technology it is quite futile. For one thing from what I have heard they are searching for planets that are similiar, with oxygen, water and etc... What if those "aliens" do not need those but Hydrogen for instance? I dont think our chances are high.

I would personally say yes, but there either isn't any intelligent life beyond earth, or they are in a completely different part of the universe that we could never reach, or they are nearby but being so intelligent they have come up with a way for greedy humans not to find them and steal their technology. If i were an extra terrestrial i'd go with the last one.But like other people said, theres just more important things to straiten out before we see if there are aliens [such as bush and his messed up ways of running america and corrupting the world]
