 Lets say I shoot an electron out of an electron gun? I'm stationary in the lab and observing this, while my mate is travelling with the electronThe electron has a speed of 2.0 x 10^8 m/s and the distance I observe between the gun and the wall is 10 metres.I tell him how long it takes the electron to hit the wall, and he gets back and tells me it takes him the exact same time, but the distance was less than ten metres. He said he was travelling at 2.0 x 10^8 m/s as well. I don't get it? Why should we have measured the same v, and d, but he had less of a distance to go. Strange that.
