Assuming replacement is allowed:P(3) = 6(.3)(.3)(.3)(.7) = 0.2646 or 26.46%If replacement is allowed the total number of marbles is irrelevant since we are given P

= 0.7 as a constant. If replacement is not allowed then P

will vary as marbles are picked and the number of total marbles is relevant to determining the answer.

=0.7 is the probability of black and p

is the probability of red. Hence the overall probability is4 x 0.7 x 0.3 x 0.3 x 0.3 = 0.0756which is equivalent to a 7.56% chance.
