when the best age to start babysitting?

I'm 11 almost 12 what age do you think i should start baby sitting? I look after my 5 & 3 year old cosins, but i don't know when i should star at other peoples houses.

Take a babysitters class. then after that you could probaly get some jobs very easily i started when i was 11

I'd start out by being a monther's helper and maybe helping for short periods of time during the day, like if the mom needs to go grocery shopping or something like that.

Then when you are 14 if you are experienced and responsible, you'll be ready to babysitt for longer periods of time and at night.

if you are responsible and follow parents directions you could be ready now. try checking with your red cross there where you live they usually offer some CPR and babysitting safety courses which is how i got started when i was your age and as you build up to watching more kids start asking the parents if you can use them as a reference for future babysitting jobs, parents are more trusting if they can talk to other people who have used you good luck!

i wouldn't even consider you until you are at least sixteen, you are not old enough to be that responsible yet,
