| Myself and my hubby are currently trying for baby #2. Today, I have had a leaflet from my catalogue that has loads of maternity clothes in that are really cheap. Would save me alot of money if I bought them now as they are usually so expensive, I remember when I was having my first, I could hardly find anything that I liked and was reasonably priced. I have ordered loads of stuff but was just wondering if I was tempting fate before I was even pregnant. What do you think? Good money/time saving idea or not?

| I wouldn't but you sound a lot more confident than me.i am on my first so we waited a while before we purchased anything. not only that by time i was in maternity i only had 14 weeks left and it's summer so just bought couple pairs of jeans, dungarees, black trousers for work and some vest tops. Even a dress for a wedding. Have probably not spend more than £100 in total on maternity but have made sure that they will pass on the next pregnancy.

| Im not sure I would buy them personally. there are always sales on throughout the year so Id worry like you that I was tempting fate too much. Then again, lets look at the flip side, are yout the sort of person that doesnt walk under ladders and feels uncomfortable when you see a single magpie? If not, go for it! We all need to save money when we have little ones so anything helps doesnt it. It really depends how supersticious you are. If the answer is very, you will only feel uncomfortable about doing it but if the answer is not very much at all, then go for it and put them away in the back of your wardrobe and dont look at them again untill your beautiful bump has put in an appearance. Good look with trying, I wish u all the best

| It depends on how superstitious you are. I started to buy maternity wear at 10wks because I was starting to get a tummy & it was in the sale.2 days later I suffered a miscarriage & putting away all the clothes & literature I had from the midwife was heartbreaking. You never know what the future brings, but its important to think of how you'd deal with the reminders if, God forbid, anything should happen.Good luck!
