| baby advil was the best thing for us at that age, chewing on a frozen washcloth until the advil kicked in was great too**********we stayed away from numbing agents such as orajel, it can numb the throat and possibly make it hard to swallow.

| Give him infant tylenol for the pain (the dosage is on the box) and a cold damp washcloth to chew on. Babies that young seem to be able to hold on to a washclother better than a pacifier or teething ring. They do seem to hurt more at night than during the day, so you may need to give a couple of doses of tylenol during the night. He will sleep better that way. The cold washcloth will help with the gum swelling as well. Good luck!

| Give him a frozen soothing toy and when he go to sleep let him chew on it and the next day check and see if the gums are doing OK

| oh, im sure thats whats waking him. poor little guy. mine is 7mths, and none have come through yet, but it looks like when they do, it'll be several...oh boy. well, i know you could try michaels teething tablets...they work like orajel, but you take the tablet and put in their mouth, rubbing their gums and it desolves. also, have you tried giving him infants tylenol right before bed? that may work well. This can be a trying time...especially when sleep is disturbed! but it wont last...before you know it, he'll have a mouth full and be eating steak!hehe.

| There is no one magic answer here, sorry to say! I am dealing with the same thing, only my guy is 8 months! Try letting him chew on a frozen waffle, or a cool wash cloth, I feel your pain, & his!!! Good luck, know that you are not alone, & that you are doing all you can to help soothe his pain, & don't doubt that he will know you are doing all you can to help him. It doesn't last forever, & if it helps any one who's had a hard teething time is pulling for you!!

| check his top gums to see if the top are starting to come in. My 8 month old broke his two botton teeth at the same time and then the top two followed imeediately after. Most babies wikl teeth one at a time but my kid was unusual. His gums might still be a little bit sensitive. you can try some tylenol, a frozen wash cloth or topical medication like oralgel. Other than that you might have to just tough it out and guive him as much TLC as possible. If he seems fussy during the day too call the doc. He could have a cold or sinus congestion too.

| Teething tablets didn't work for my son but I used baby nighttime orajel... the nighttime is a little thicker and lasts longer. If it gets too bad I would also give him a little infant tylenol about 30minutes to an hour befor ehe goes to bed that way you know it has kicked in. Those first teeth are always the hardest so keep your head up.
