My son enters kindergarten this year. I know my life as a parent changed when I went from a "new baby mom" to a "preschooler mom." So how is it different when you have a school-age kid?

Well other than the fact that they are gone for a certain amount of time each day, there are also school functions, getting up early for school, going to bed early. Before school, you could pretty much have your child on your schedule because there wasn't anything to interfere. Now it won't be like that. For instance, I'm a night person. That was all great when my kids were on my schedule. Now that they are in school there are only certain days that we can stay up late, certain vacation days, etc., etc. It kind of ****s but it's a fact of life. There are also school clothes and school supplies to buy now. A lot changes and then before you know it they are in middle school!! AAGGHH!!! Good luck!

it is a lot more lonely but the house stays cleaner LOL. By the time I help out in the class, do housework or catch up with friends it is time to go pick them up. Everyone deals with it differently but try to find the posotive
