Should i let my son go or not?

My son is 9, he keeps misbehaving and being very naughty. He's suppose to be going away with his aunt, and 2 brother's next week, however, i'm concerned that he will continue to misbehave while he's on holiday with his aunt, but he's really looking forward to going away because he's close with his aunt. Will it be unfair if i don't let him go as part of the punishment for misbehaving?

does he have a psp, cell phone, things of that nature... if he does you can take it away from him for the trip... if his aunt reports back to you that he behaved, he gets his things back, if not you keep them longer (2-3 weeks)if he doesnt have a cell phone or an ipod... you can take TV and computer priveledges away until he shapes up his behavior, also try talking to him to find out the source as to why he is misbehaving... chances are, there's something bothering him...hope i helped..*Kitty*

no because if he is misbehaving it will just get worse if you let him go. what you can do is if he doesn't misbehave he can go but he needs to be good first. letting him go to his aunts is teaching him that he can get away with things and it isn't fair to you.

at some point you need to put your foot down and let him know that you are not going to tolerate his behavior. so not letting him do something that he really wants to do would be an excellent start. be sure to let him know that his behavior is the result of his not being able to go..then maybe next time he will think twice about misbehaving!! Good luck!! Be strong and STAND YOUR GROUND!! if you dont it will only get worse!!

You should make him stay home. Let him know that this is punishment for his actions. The next time he wants to go he should act like it and maybe he can. You are in no way being unfair.
