Is it right that i should still be producing milk 15months after my baby was born?

My baby is 15 months old and i breast fed her for 7 - 8 months, so it's been roughly 9 months since i gradually started to cut it out. Every now and then I keep checking to see if there's still milk if i squeeze ( oh dear it sounds awful doesn't it! lol) and there still is. I'm not going to the doctor about it as it's not a problem to me, just curious really. I guess 9 months in total isn't really that long of a period thinking about it. Anyway would love to hear your views. Cheers, Rachy

After I quit breastfeeding my daughter, who is now 11yrs. old, I still have/had breast milk discharge. I asked my ob/gyn and she said that once you have breastfed you will always have a little discharge and not to worry about it. As long as it is not gushing out (i.e. you have to squeeze it out) it is pretty much just part of having been a nursing mom. I am now pregnant with my 2nd child and still have it (didn't have it this early with my first).
