I currently taking 17P shots. Doctor asked me not work anymore on Wednesday of this week. I am currently on bedrest (6 ays now). I had several contractions Monday that I might add are not causing any change in my cervix. The nurse who gives me my weekly injection suggested to my doc that i start the Terb Pump. I am very unhappy! I do not want to do this. I expressed this to my doctor when we had our first inital appt. He didn't seem concerned about this Am I wrong to refuse this treatment?
My history
4th pregnancy. My others were born @ 31wks 3 days (was on Magnessium Sulfate for 4-5 hours), 2nd 34wks 3 days: Was on terbutaline from 26 wks on, hospitalized at 34wks and put on Mag again for 3 days. Born on 4th day because they took me off of it all due to the fact that I almost died due to meds! 3rd pregnancy: 33wks 3 days. I was on bedrest from about 24 wks on. I was dialated to 1 cm from 25wks-33wks when my water broke and I dialated to 5 or 6 and had him 4 hours lat

How many weeks are you right now?

IMHO, I think you should either have confidence in your doctor's suggestions, or get a second opinion from another doctor.

Of course you can refuse anything you want, but if it were me, I'd be doing everything in my power to stay pregnant as long as I could.
