Ok heres the thing..im 4 months pregnant and i work as a debt collector...Today i got sick at 1:45pm, and my breast also started leaking so i was in the bathroom at till 1:55. i came back as soon as it was over and my boss asked me how i was and i said i was sick and was in the restroom. She has the nerve to tell me that i need to get back qwicker. Excuse me if i am going to puke and my tits are leaking i am not going to just sit there and make you $40.00. I felt very disrespected. To the point where i don't want to go back. The only reason i am at this job is for the benefits but being pregnant is far more important then my stress level! In a way i want to leave this job, and go on medicaid or something...and my boyfriend can pay the bills, because i am really overwhelmed. I felt that was extremly out of line. i would understand if i was off using my phone or just taking a break...but my nipples were leaking and i was puking. What should i do???

Don't forget that your boss can not discriminate against you based on familial status. You need to remind her that you are a mom-to-be and while your job is important to you- your health and your child are the utmost importance. Let her know that not allowing you 2 15 minute breaks and a lunch break is against labor laws. If you don't take breaks she should consider herself lucky. Let her know that you were offended and would appreciate her understanding. Maybe she just needs to be reminded not to be such a hard ass.

I bet if SHE were sick and had to go to the bathroom it would be a different story! She's being a butt. I would contact HR dept and let them know how she is.Also, if you do decide to quit, write your boss's boss a letter telling him/her what a jackass she was
