playtex Ventaire standard bottle HELP?

i will be a new mom in the next couple weeks and i bought a package of Playtex VentAire Standard bottles 8 oz and Stage 2 nipple. Unfortunitally Im not sure how to use them. Silly me thought they needed the drop in liners but that doesn't seem to be the case. How do i use them? do i take the rubber bottom off or keep it in. the holes at the bottom do they need to be blocked by the rubber piece or clear. Please help!! Thanksthere were no instructions in the inside of the box ...i bought them as a pack of 3 at babies r us

Okay to start you need to buy stage 1 nipples... You will unscrew the top and remove the stage 2 nipple and put in the sage 1. The stage 1 is a slower flow. The bottom of the bottle unscrewes for cleaning but the rubber piece stays in the bottom for feeding. The tab should face up towards the nipple. You dont need to use liners with the ventaire bottles Hope this helps

They are horrible and hard to clean...take them back. Try the avent bottles they are great...easy to clean and also has the different nipple stages. My son loved them and we did not have any form of colic or gas problems. Start with the newborm nipple and each month or so go up a size. They cost a little more but are worth it.

For a little baby you'll want stage 1 nipples - want to make sure it's a slow flow. For those you keep the rubber bottom in, it's made to help keep air out while drinking so you're baby will be less gassy. From experience they don't work and my daughter hated them, a friend of mine said the same thing about them when she tried them with her daughter. They're too much money to not work - my daughter ended up liking the NUK bottles, cost about the same as the Ventaire but they seem to work pretty good.
