I had sex and didnt use a condome so i might be pregnant but right after i tooko 2 birth control pills to try to stop the sperm from making a baby but i hadnt took my pills in like a month so could i be pregnant? will the pill work????

Um... birth control pills are not the same as the morning after pill. If its been less than 72 hours, go to planned parenthood and get the morning after pill. If its been more than 72 hours, go to the doctor. Maybe you'll start taking the pill regularly now? (If you aren't pregnant) I wish you luck.

No, that is not going to work. You could still get pregnant. Here is what is disturbing to me....why no condom? You appear to be a young person and not in a monogomous relationship. Why are you not protecting yourself from disease? Forget pregnancy for a second. That is certainly not the worst thing that can happen. At least if you were pregnant you would have a beautiful child for the rest of your life. If you get herpes, you will have genital sores for the rest of your life. WAY worse! Get yourself some condoms and keep them in your purse. It's not just up to the guy...if the guys you're with aren't responsible enough to have them then you need to take matters in your own hands. Also, remember that if a guy tells you he doesn't want to use one because it makes the feeling different, chances are he has done this with other girls...which obviously puts you at risk. Sorry for the lecture, but I worry about young women today. So, double up...fill that prescription for birth control (or get it free at a clinic) AND USE CONDOMS!!!!

My dear sweetchocolate, I hate to be the one to tell you but, the pill does not stop the sperm. It wouldn't matter if you took 3-5 pills. Besides the pill is not 100%. The best suggestion I could give you now, is for you to go to the Dr.'s and have a pregnancy test done. If you are not, then I would suggest asking your dr. for another form of birth control (iud, a patch, but the best one yet is abstanance).

The pill will not work. As said in another answer, if you can get the 'morning after pill' within 72 hours then you should be ok. If its been a bit longer then go and get 'the coil' fitted. This stops a fertilised egg being able to attach to the lining of the womb.The coil may be a good idea for you anyway as once you get it, then you do not need any other contraceptive for 5 years. (Of course, still use a condom if you are not with a regular partner as the coil does not protect you from STD's).It is easy to get fitted, and if you've had a smear you'll know what to expect! It is very easily removed and if you decide you want to start a family then you can start trying right away! (It is said you are unlikely to conceive immediately after coming off the pill but this depends on the individual).Whatever you decide to do, do it as soon as possible. Don't bury your head in the sand. Be brave and good luck.

If you took the birth control to try and stop the sperm then that's not going to work its not the same as the morning after pillif it was only 24-48 hours ago then there's a chance you may still be able to take the morning after pill so i would go to family planning or the doctorsin future if you don't want a baby then use protection i say it so many times to you young kids that don't seem to have any responsibilitythe facts are if your not now you will end up pregnant or with a STD if you continue to not use protection

The pill is not an after sex thing. To be safe with the pill, you need to take it at least a month before sex and every day as it is prescribed! Not taking it until after sex will not prevent pregnancy but can contribute to birth defects.
