Is it ok to skip blood test for lead?

My son just had his 2year old check up yesterday and required a blood test for lead. But he wouldn't cooperate 'cause he just had the TB test and hep-A shots at the same day. Is it okay to just skip the particular blood test considering we live in a newer house built only 2 years ago?

Not smart he can get led posioning from other things other than the house its better safe than sorry,

it seems to me that you already skipped if for a day....but i suggest that you let your son have the test as there are plenty of other sources for lead. and the test is mandatory..your son will get over it...

Wow...we live in Southern California and the lead test is done at 9 months. But, they ask some questions beforehand. Mainly if you live in an older home and 2 or 3 other questions. If you answer "no" to all the questions, they skip the test.

we were no where around led, but the nurse told me the lead test was state mandatory...they will probably be able to wait until your next appt though....
