| I don't know about that because than he is ****ing up against gravity... but after my c-section it really hurt to move alot and I tried breastfeeding him with me flat on my back and him laying on top of me. He ate until he was full... but it didn't feel right... he seemed content but is there something wrong with that?

| Maybe you should try to incline yourself just a little with a pillow or two. The only reason I say this is with you laying flat with your baby on top, he's going to be ****ing in a lot more air and that translates into more indigestion and gas! Good luck to you, and congratulations on your new baby!!

| I did it all the time with my son. We would sometimes even fall asleep doing it like that, since he liked to sleep on my chest anyways.

| Honey, what ever works for you is perfect. If your baby is happy nursing that way then it is exactly right for your baby!Congratulations on making the important choice to breastfeed your baby! You have made such a wonderful choice and you are giving such important benefits to your baby! Just giving your baby your colostrum protects him from seven potentially FATAL diseases. What you are doing is more important than you could ever imagine.I had C-sections with all of my babies also and I found that sitting up with them on a bed pillow placed in my lap (or two if they were very soft) brought him up to the perfect height. You don't want to be leaning over him, that will give you a back ache.Try to learn to nurse lying on your side also, that is another good position for C-section moms and one that will guarantee plenty of sleep for both of you. Being able to nurse lying down is an important skill to develop, it will be important at night and other times also. For now, do what works. Most of all just breastfeed, that is the most important thing you can ever do for your baby.Love and BlessingsLady Trinity~

| That's the easy and fun way to do it!! You'll find as the baby gets older that it becomes even more fun when the child does acrobats on your stomach while latched on!!! Thank you for still trying to breastfeed even though you had a C-Section.
