| Im eatting but I can't seem to gain weight. I had this problem before I was pregnant. Is this normal? What can I do?

| I've read that in the first trimester, you'll either gain or lose about 5 pounds. It is in your second trimester, that you should be gaining about 1 lb a week.

| It is not that uncommon in early pregnancy to loose weight. This is especially true if you have had a lot of nausea or sickness. I would however keep track and make sure you discuss it with you Dr.

| It is normal to lose a couple of pounds because of morning sickness and just generally feeling off. If you're heavy, it is quite normal to lose more and then not gain it back until the end of the pregnancy, if at all. If it's more than a pound or two you should contact your care provider.

| it normal. I lost weight in my first trimester. but you would start gain weight in the second trimester. I think it because the morning sickness You can drink a lot of water and eat a lot of fruits and veggie. But mostly it normal. I am about 25 weeks now i have only gain 8 pounds. So i think you should just eat healthy and take easy.. for first trimester.

| I lost 19 lb in the first trimester, and at 22 weeks, have only gained 1 lb back.No matter what I eat, I can't gain.

| it is normal, consider yourself lucky.... i think i gained 10 in my first 6 weeks of pregnancy. As long as you are eating and takin your vitamins - your body weight is probably shifting - my best friend actually only gained like 10 pounds while she was pregnant cuz the weight in her legs and but went to her tummy! I, on the other hand gained a whoppin 80 pounds with each of my kids. If you are a bit overweight you can loose in the first trimester too.

| i lost 8 pounds first trimester and slowly gained it back. i only gained a total of 18 lbs.good luck and no worries
