normal for 6 month old to sweat a lot during sleep?

yesterday i went to get my daughter after her nap and there was a big wet spot under her head from sweating.we had the air on 78 and the cieling fan on...so i dont think it was too hot.

Of course it is normal if you make her wear too much and too thick clothes.Try with lighter clothing - it's summer and the 6-month-old is not as a 6-day-old.She's almost a toddler.Let her feel better.I have two 6-month-olds (girls) and I'm sure it is just because of thick clothing.

That's normal. My first child took the finish off her crib with her sweaty head.

My daughter always sweated in her sleep, and was told not to worry. just to keep her cool.

Since it is normal and since you do keep it cool, do keep her from getting sick by changing her clothes often, don't let her stay wet. Also you can help her regulate her body temperature by leaving her barefoot so she can release the heat through her feet. Don't bundle her too much. Babies are have the same body temp as us so don't keep her in a onesie, socks, bodysuit, mittens, and hat if all what you're wearing is shorts, flip flops and a t-shirt. As long as she isn't in a draft then you should dress her more lightly.
