My Menstruation has turned really black?

I noticed a change in the colour of my menstruation from red to black, this started about 3 months ago after treating an infection, it's giving me a lot of concern, does anyone know what could be the cause and posible solution to this?

So after treating the infection 3 months ago, this is your first period? Or have you had another period after you had the infection?If this is your second period after the infection was treated, you need to consult a doctor. I can imagine the first period would probably be strange if you had an inter-uterine infectionSome period blood can look black but actually it's red. Is there clotting? I know its gross but rub it on a piece of toilet paper, does it turn red? Sometimes clots can appear to be darker than they really are because of clottingUnless there is some kind of pain (other than regular menstral cramping) I wouldnt worry about it too much. Now if you have your next period and the same thing happens, I would call your doctor just to be sure everything is okay.
