...name to my name,? her brothers and sisters are same name as me,but she has a diffrent name,her fathers name whom is absent,i dont want her to be left outor feel diffrent,she is going to quistion why her name is diffrent from the rest of her family,i would like to lend her my name till she is old enough to decide for herself,weather shed like to keep it or change it back.shes only 2yrs old.

I had the same issue, and rather than changing their name, I had them "known as" which meant I let all the authorities know that as from this point my child would be known as. When they got to an age where they could choose, they then made their own mind up about which name they wanted to use.

I would say change it now. You know that you will be in her life, and she will want to have a name that reflects her true family, not something from the guy who has only given some dna but has no relationship with her.

I would if the Father wants no contact with her.At 2 years old,i doubt she'd know the difference.

If I were you, i'd change it to your name. It saves confusion later in life.When I had my son, I gave him my surname, and i'm so glad I did cos i've never seen his father since!

Choose what you think is best until she's 18. Then, she'll be old enough to decide for herself.

I have my mother's name as well becaue my father is not really in my life. I am glad that my name is in her name instead of his since I barely kno him or his family. I think that you should consider putting her in your name.

yea i think you should give her your name cause when she goes to school the other children might tease her for having different name to her siblings, it happened to my cousin she had a very hard time
