| Well for sure you can get her diapers, But looking on her gift registry. If she hasn't registred anywhere then just get bath stuff, there are medicine gift packs, with tylenol, mylicon, etc. try one of those.

| My favorite baby shower gift is a basket with assorted products inside and inlude a gift certificate to a baby store. The products, baby powder, lotion, bath gel, diaper ointment, rattles, pacifier etc. are necessary and even if someone else does have the same idea, the gift will always be used and the rattle can be kept as a keepsake.

| Tell her to register somewhere. Then you will know exactly what to get her, they will take what others have bought off the list. Is there something special you know she wants? Something personalized for the baby? There are plenty of things you can get that would be fine if someone else got..diapers, socks, bottles, outfits, etc.I would go with a more intimate/personal gift.

| there are always duplicate gifts at a shower..... but try to coordinate with friends and other family to find out what they are getting her....and ask your cousin what she already has (because mothers to be really like to shop)..... and then go from there......get clothes that aren't newborn sized...like 3-4 month clothes as most people will buy newborn sizes and some babies are too big for those when they come out..... but even if they are not they quickly outgrow newborn sizes..... buy neutral colors unless she knows if she is having a boy or a girl.....

| You could get her something that she will actually use. Like diapers, wipes, baby shampoo, lotion, bottles (if she doesn't breastfeed), and maybe something for her. Like you can get her some pj's for when she has the baby or buy her some smell good stuff. Oh, and you could get her like a little first aid kit with baby fingernail clippers, baby q-tips, baby Tylenol or Motrin, and some other stuff.

| You should check and see if she is registered for baby items if she is then you don't have to worry about it being a duplicate item. You could also think outside the normal and get the baby a savings bond for there future education. If that seem like a little to much for you to do you can always give cash or buy them diapers. I know that the diapers aren't original but trust me as a parent they were greatly appreciated. And every time they change the kids butt while using your diapers they will think of you. As a parent up in the middle of the night changing a diaper it was nice to think about my cousins and how thought ful they had been. Hope this gives you a few ideas.

| When you have a baby, you can never have too much of anything!!! If you know what the gender is you could go get an outfit specific to the gender. Diapers are always a great gift, babies always need diapers. When I had my baby shower I got a homemade wreath, made out of a hanger. It was bent in a circle, had newborn diapers the whole way around it, each diaper was tied on w/ twine. And every so often there where q tips, baby powder and something else I don't remember what it was. But I still have it and it hangs on my "baby's" door, (she will be 7 in Nov!). Think of Mom too. She might like some good smellies from Bath and Body.

| is she registered anywhere? go by those if she is... they will tell you when things have been purchased.or just do the good ol' diaper + clothes deal. make a basket of goodies including diapers, bottles, clothes, shoes, some small toys. if you go to target, walmart or even marshalls (or aj wright, tuesday morning, tj maxx... anywhere like that) things like that are cheap.

| A wonderful gift is : Aden & Anias swaddling blankets. Newborns sleep better & feel more secure when swaddled. Aden & Anias is very popular with celebrity mommies: Tori Spelling's baby & Patrick Dempsy's twins have them. Get this....they aren't expensive. Around $40 for a pack of six!You will have to tell the receipent of the blankets to wash them before swaddling their bundle of joy. They are muslin cotton, which gets softer the more it is washed. The blankets also come with swaddling directions. Mom, Dad and baby will LOVE them!!!!
