my brother wont eat hes 5 years old?

me and my dad and mom try to get him to eat but he wont eat when he is playing video games he wont eat when you tell him to eat he ignores you and if he dont eat his dinner he will wake up in the middle of the night hungry why woant he eat

Stop feeding him snacks and cookies and candy and
popcicles and snack food during the day and make him
eat when your family does. Make him get off of the game
he's playing when its time to eat
The only way to get a fussy kid to eat is to make him do it
Tell him he can't play his video games until he finishes
his plate, and things like that.

Well...kids can be stubborn...but the first thing I would do is take away the video games for a while...try to get him out and active...watch him to make sure he isn't "sneaking" snacks throughout the day...don't let him snack too close to meal times, but try to get him to eat little snacks in between meals...he'll probably grow out of this especially when he goes through a growth spurt...good luck!

Take away the video game!! Don't use it as a bribe or punishment, just take it away. He's 5 years old for heaven's sake! He should be playing with his friends or family members, NOT playing video games.

As far as eating is concerned, does your mom or dad serve meals at regular times every day? If your brother won't eat breakfast, then no snacks until lunchtime. Won't eat lunch? No snacks until dinner. If he wakes up hungryafter not eating dinner, give him his left-over dinner.

Remember, HE IS THE CHILD!! HE IS NOT THE RULER OF YOUR FAMILY!!

I agree w/ Koreateacher would have said exact thing parents must be firm on this and if he refuses his leftover dinner its ok you will not be starving him after a few missed meals he will eat there are child care specialists that suggest this very same method if he simply refuses to eat after several missed meals and minus the games and everything else is in check he needs to be seen by a doctor
