| I had a bad argument with my mother about how she promised me she would stop drinking alcohol when I was pregnant because she winds me up when she's under the influence.I knew this was too good to be true and she broke the promise once, but she did it again and I just let loose.I told her to get out of the house and started to try and drag her out but she would just push me and hold onto things, then she started pulling my hair so I just pushed her into the kitchen radiator. I didn't realise how hard I had pushed her but just stayed there crying. Shortly after that I started to get really bad cramping pains in my pelvic area.I'm 8 weeks & 3 days pregnant, and I know it's something to go to the GP about, but I'm scared stiff to leave the room because she's very angry and hasn't sobered up yet.My fiancee is at work and hasn't answered my messages either so I can't contact him. What do I do?

| Do you have a close friend? Call you doctor, then call your friend and ask if he or she can give you a lift. I think calling your fiance would be a good idea too. Mine let everyone know at school and work that I am pregnant and he leaves his cell on for me just in case I need him. No one ever objected. In your situation you really need him, so call him...

| wow i feel sorry for you and your mother. i say apologize to your mother for hurting her, tell her you'll always love her and you'll be back soon, and then go to the hospital/doctors. please try to be patient with your mother, as it is your mother after all.

| If this in fact actually happened you need to keep on trying to get a hold of yout fiance and try to leave the house to either get to the doctors or a safe place..

| I am sorry about your situation but why would you get into a physical altercation with your mom KNOWING you are pregnant? The best thing for you to do is encourage your mom to get into an Al-Anon program. You and the fiance can go too. Try to make arrangements to get out of there as soon as possible. Is that the environment you really want your baby to grow up in?
