| On our street, every kid gets invited to every birthday party (for the kids about 5 and under). And it's usually at some indoor party place. I'm trying to keep things simple this year and cheaper, as those party places can cost around 200-300 dollars. I just want to have a small party at our house with immediate family and a few friends. I would really just like to invite the boys his age. (There are 3 of them) and have a Lightning Mcqeen themed party. Would it be rude to exclude the other children on the street, since we got invited to their parties. Also, one of the boys I want to invite has a 7 year old sister and the other boy has 3 siblings, one of them being his twin sister. I don't want any one's feelings to be hurt and I don't want to appear rude. Would it be innappropriate to not invite the sisters, especially the twin? If you were the other parents, what would you think. Thanks workathomeunited.com/tiffc Work FOR yourself, Never BY yourself I've should have included this: This reason I was thinking of just inviting the boys is because I had to draw the line somewhere in order to keep the guest list very small. I appreciate the answers I have received so far.

| You can invite whoever you want to your sons party, but I would keep in mind that when parents bring a child to a party and they have other children close in age, they usually have them along with them. It just might be awkward for everyone when a parent kind if expects that their other child can join in and you have to say sorry it is just for the boys. I might be offended. If you really need to save money why don't you take a few of his friends with you guys to do something different than the party place, like a kids movie with cake and presents after at your home or really anything more intimate for a smaller group. That way no one would expect their other children to join in.
